ah, October 26, I can’t believe the day has finally come. It’s been 2 years since Rockstar games (creators of the Grand Theft Auto series) officially announced their upcoming game, Red Dead Redemption 2 and today it has been finally been released world wide. This game has been in development for over 8 years...yes. 8 YEARS. The game features over 1,000 unique voice actors, 500,000 lines of dialogue and an AI that makes the game feel alive. This AI is so “alive” that things happen in the world around you based on what you decide to do. Example: simply following a character down an alley way might make them look over their shoulder at you...and start to worry that you mean ill intent. And the choices you make in any given moment will ripple consequences across the future events of the game. Characters in the game will actually respond to you differently based on things like what they were doing when you first interacted with them, the last time you bathed, rumors they may have heard about you, and even how much alcohol you’ve consumed recently. I don’t know if you could tell, but I’m really excited for this 🤠
